Privacy Policy AIR-Panel

This document was last modified on 15-09-2026. The most recent version of this privacy policy always applies to the relationship between you and AIR-Panel.

AIR-Tools B.V. attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. This privacy policy describes how we handle the personal information you share with us when you use air-panel.com.

1. Who are we?

AIR-Tools B.V. is the organization responsible for the processing of personal data via air-panel.com. We are registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 93535716.

2. What data do we collect?

To participate in our panel and use our services, we process the following personal data:

  • Name, address and place of residence
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Bank account number (IBAN) for payments
  • IP address
  • Answers to profile questions (if completed)

3. What do we use your data for?

Service delivery and account management

Your data is needed to create your account, give you access to the panel and pay out rewards. Without this information, we cannot provide our services.

Communication

We use your contact details to inform you about available surveys, your points balance and other relevant matters. You can adjust your communication preferences in your account settings.

Platform improvement

We analyze how our platform is used to detect technical problems and improve our services. This is done with due observance of any cookie consent given.

Survey invitations

Based on your profile data, we select surveys that suit you. This reduces the chance that you will be invited to surveys for which you are not eligible.

Fraud prevention

To ensure the integrity of our platform, we may use data to detect and prevent abuse and fraudulent activities.

Legal obligations

In certain cases, we are legally obliged to retain or share data with government authorities.

Advertising with Meta

To find new members, we advertise on Facebook and Instagram, run by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. Once you have completed a survey, we share with Meta an unreadable (hashed) version of your email address and your country, and how much your participation has earned us. Meta uses this to reach people who resemble our members, and deletes the hashed data after matching it. If you joined through a Meta advert, we also tell Meta when you finish your registration and when you complete a survey. This lets Meta measure which adverts work. We do this based on our legitimate interest in growing the panel. If you do not want this, email [email protected]. Within a week we will stop sharing your data for this purpose.

4. How do surveys work?

When you participate in a survey, you are redirected to the questionnaire of the research partner. Only an anonymous user number is shared, along with limited profile data such as age, gender and region. Your name, email address and telephone number are never shared with research partners.

The answers you give during a survey are processed directly by the research partner. AIR-Panel does not have access to these answers.

5. Cookie usage

Our platform uses cookies. We distinguish the following categories:

Necessary cookies:

These are essential for the functioning of the website, for example to remember that you are logged in and to prevent duplicate participation in surveys.

Analytical cookies:

These measure website usage to improve our services. These cookies do not collect information about your other internet behavior.

Marketing cookies:

These are only placed with your explicit consent and help us measure the effectiveness of campaigns.

Cookies do not contain personal information such as your email address or name.

6. Retention periods

As long as you are a member of AIR-Panel, we retain your data to provide our services. When you terminate your membership, your data is no longer actively processed, but we retain it for five years. This period is based on guidelines from the Authority for Consumers & Markets and serves as evidence of consents given.

If there are still outstanding payments or credits, we retain the necessary identification and payment data for up to eight years after the last transaction, in accordance with tax legislation.

7. Your privacy rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

Access:

You can request which data we process about you. Most data can be viewed directly via your account settings.

Correction:

You can correct incorrect data yourself in your account or have it changed by contacting us.

Deletion:

You can request deletion of your data. This also means termination of your membership.

Restriction:

You can request restriction of the processing of your data.

Objection:

You have the right to object to certain processing activities.

Please note: answers you gave anonymously during surveys are not subject to the right of access, as these can no longer be linked to you as a person.

If you are dissatisfied with the way we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.

8. Amendments

This privacy policy may be amended. Substantial changes will be communicated via the website or by email. If you do not agree with changes, you can terminate your membership.

9. Contact

For questions about this privacy policy or the processing of your data, please contact [email protected]. We will endeavor to answer your question as soon as possible.
